We All Make A Difference

February has been a brilliant month for creating, collaborating, and pulling together,

Old archives and recent works -past archives, which remind, incite, and inspire reunion.

February has settled and the days are slightly longer.

the long month of January is over and workshops have started.

The journey home has only just begun, I tell myself.

my work is diverse exciting and rewarding

I love the fact, that I’m always learning, always creating on this journey.

The beginning of February saw the unveiling of a collaborative piece of Art, produced from, workshops, singing, cloth, drama, and creative writing in all wards, at “The Mount “,run by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust .

Staff, participant’s, visitors, nurses, support staff, all contributing to the workshops led by; Musarat Raza, textile creative community artist. Bryony Pritchard, interdisciplinary artist. James Dey, Musician song writer and myself.

Ten weeks 4 wards, learning and creating, writing, talking, painting singing, alongside each other.

I have to say.

it has been a Joy and a Privilege to work with Artlink West Yorkshire

I’m so proud of our time at the Mount the joy, the laughter, stories and Colours, humanity.

there are many things that I do, but working with Morley Aspire, the Mount, working with all the projects throughout the years, have been a soul contentment-

It leaves me in grief, Angry, hurt and annoyed for the ignorant and thoughtless cut of funding.

Cutting short a journey of artist/community, collaboration, of joy

Creativity in all spaces

We all made a difference.

Artlink’s community brought so much happiness.

and lifelong friendship with co-workers.

I will deeply miss the participants.

And their gift of love and laughter

Of bravery and integrity

And am looking forward to our final celebration with all groups and artist, with the all beautiful Artlink community, “flight of the phoenix “ in March 2024

I was chuffed to be invited to the Panel of BBC Contains Strong Language Poetic Justice: 50 Years of Hip Hop at the Howard assembly room in September.2023

Mind Body and Soul @ Chapel FM

A Big thank you to all who came to the women’s sessions at Chapel Fm in Seacroft, Leeds.

Mind, body and Soul is a Space 2 Wellbeing, project.

Led by Denise Scott, Leeds based artist and myself.

It’s amazing the things we can teach each other, thank you for your courage, words and giggles and conversations.

Art and textile workshops are still running, so drop in, if in the area!!

Heydays, Wednesdays.

Heydays is the largest and longest-running arts programme for older people in UK theatre. Running a variety of different workshops all day Wednesday

The last time I worked with Heydays was in 2004, so it feels very special to have been asked backed, I have worked as a freelance artist with the Leeds Playhouse, for More than twenty years, and unlike a lot of great art projects it’s good to see that it has sustainability after all these years, the playhouse is having a birthday celebration of sorts this year, and all artists and groups are collaborating around the themes of , legacy sustainability and environment , conversations , memories, poetry and prose,

I love the journey of our groups and how our stories grow , creating legacy, and sustainability for the mind and soul.

I have lot of exciting things cooking, in March, lets connect soon!
